OmniBevel 2011
Tool for Bevel Cutting
OmniBevel 2011 provides the resources necessary to plan and execute the steps required to optimally and automatically position and control the cutting machine.
The first step is to import the plan into OmniBevel 2011. This is possible either through an automated process for one or more plans, or with custom processing for each plan. Automated import, application of necessary technologies and export to the cutting plan are accomplished in one easy step. This process is especially suited for cutting shops specialized in a specific type of part.
If we select manual operation, we have the possibility to let OmniBevel 2011 make a “suggestion” for all technologies, or we can set the start point of the individual parts, breakpoints to determine the positions for bevels on the contour. Then, start, end and join technologies (macros) are placed. The plan can then be saved or the NC code exported for a specific bevel machine.
Individual parts or complete nesting plans in ESSI, ESAB-mpg, QC, TRIBON or DIN formats can be imported and processed. If these formats include bevel information, it is automatically retrieved and applied to the contours. This further reduces the time required to process the plan. Modifications can be made to any of the technology parameters before export.
Marking technologies are also supported. OmniBevel 2011 processes inkjet technologies, punching, powder, Technifor, plasmamarking, lasermarking as well as customized operations with grinders and sandblasting/glass bead blasting. The OmniDrill module integrates advanced drilling and thermal cutting technologies.
Depending on the bevel type and available machine technology, multiple cuts on the same contour may be required. OmniBevel 2011 makes this operation child´s play, automatically placing the correct technology to optimize the cutting sequence. Several easy-to-use alternative strategies are available for special situations.
With OmniBevel 2011 you can customize bevel cutting according to each available machine. Our technology database makes this possible. OmniBevel 2011 supports the DAF/L / DKS Oxyfuel processes, Skew Rotator / SkewDelta for plasma and the Bevel Head on the LaserMat. Multiple cutting heads and processes are supported.
OmniBevel 2011 does not only support bevel cutting. It is also possible to integrate vertical and bevel cutting processes to further increase the quality of the output.
OmniBevel has 2 options for advanced cutting situations. One is a specially programmed interface for Panel machines as used in the shipbuilding industry. The second is a 2.5D module for cutting windmill towers with multiple cutting heads and advanced marking with combination processes. Both options require a certain amount of on-site customization and additional processes can be implemented.
