MesserStory: First air separation plant
Adolf Messer goes his own way. Air separation plants become the second pillar of his company in addition to the oxyfuel technology. They extract oxygen from the ambient air, which is needed for oxyfuel welding as well as for other applications. Instead of producing and selling oxygen like the competition, he sells air separation plants so that his customers can produce oxygen themselves.
Adolf Messer builds his first air separation plant on site at the company Rodrigo de Rodrigo in Madrid. In 1910 he personally takes it into operation.
