Pneumatic Drilling

Our Drilling Unit is important for you in those cases where high accuracy of the holes is required (e.g. as preparation for thread cutting), the hole diameter has to be less than the material thickness or the number of thermal hole piercings has to be reduced, the machines can also be equipped with a drilling head.

All processes are done in the same set-up, providing accurate, feature-to-feature relationships, both within a single piece and from part to part.

Key Features:

• Drill up to 1/4” diameter holes in mild steel and 5/16” diameter holes in aluminum using one-half horsepower air motor
• Pneumatic system provides thrust of 159 lbs.  
• Forward feed rate can be controlled automatically through a pre-set in the unique control head
• Working stroke of 3.94”, with a signal to indicate completion of the drilling cycle
• Automatic initiation of drill commands by the part program frees the operator for other tasks
